ETV to receive Falcon Award at 2016 New Mexico Flying 40

Presented by Technology Ventures Corporation in Albuquerque, NM, ETV selected as one of New Mexico’s fastest-growing technology companies

Alamogordo, NM – Emerging Technology Ventures Inc. (ETV) will be recognized on Wednesday, June 22nd at the Albuquerque Zoo as one of the high-tech growth leaders in the state of New Mexico. In its 19th year, the Flying 40 program focuses on highlighting and celebrating entrepreneurial tech companies and the positive impact they have on the entire state. The Flying 40 provides only a small snapshot of New Mexico’s technology economy, but it helps reflect the vibrancy of the state’s technology industries.

“With so much attention and recognition focused on New Mexico’s startups, the Flying 40 program affords us the opportunity to celebrate the achievements of our State’s later-stage companies. With aggregate revenues reaching $747 million last year, these companies deserve special recognition.” John Freisinger, President and CEO of Technology Ventures Corp. stated.

“Innovation and collaboration are what allow us to find success and to continue to diversify our business plan and operations. To be recognized and honored with the elite industry leaders is incredibly valuable to achieving our vision and growth plan in New Mexico; as a young company, we are ecstatic to network with like-minded businesses and learn from the successes of the high-tech industries throughout the state. We are honored to be recognized for such a prestigious award and are thankful for the support we have received from the State of New Mexico and the City of Alamogordo that made our success possible.” Cliff Hudson, ETV CEO.

ETV was featured as a part of the Flying 40 section in the Albuquerque Journal’s Business Outlook, which offers award winners the opportunity to be highlighted to the Journal’s more than a half-million weekly readers. Additionally, ETV will be featured in the award program as one of the elite Falcon Award recipients, only three of which will be awarded at the event in Albuquerque on Wednesday. The companies represented in this year’s awardees employ a total of 4,055 people as of year-end 2015, up 19 percent from the 3,409 jobs those firms reported in 2011.

Recently, ETV also received an innovation award from the New Mexico Small Business Assistance (NMSBA) program along with four other members from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Autonomous and Unmanned Systems Cluster (AUSC). The NMSBA funded project allowed the small business team to work in partnership with Sandia National Labs on an innovative Smart Battery Manager project. The company’s collaborative partnerships such as the Smart Battery Manager established through the cluster initiative enable the growth to be considered for such prestigious awards as the Flying 40 Falcon. The assistance in business growth and capacity building that the AUSC offers to its participant organizations will lead to further recognition of its members in future Flying 40 awards as entrepreneurial technology companies mature in the region.
