ETV Receives Flying 40 Award in the 2017 Competition

Presented by Technology Ventures Corporation in Albuquerque, NM, ETV received Flying 40 award naming them one of New Mexico’s top 40 fastest-growing technology companies.

Emerging Technology Ventures Inc. (ETV) will be recognized on Wednesday, June 7th at the Albuquerque Biopark as one of the high-tech growth leaders in the state of New Mexico. Now in its 20th year, the Flying 40 program focuses on highlighting and celebrating entrepreneurial tech companies and the positive impact they have on the entire state. The Flying 40 provides only a small snapshot of New Mexico’s technology economy, but it helps reflect the vibrancy of the state’s technology industries.

“Five to seven years ago, most of these companies were facing flat or negative growth from the recession, but now most of them are expanding in the double digits, and some in triple digits. Many have appeared on the Flying 40 list every year. It shows their ability to grow and thrive right here in New Mexico. That continued growth in the technology sector is extraordinarily beneficial for our economy with the high-wage jobs these companies bring. It’s great to see our technology economy coming back strong again” John Freisinger, former President and CEO of Technology Ventures Corp. stated.

Last year, ETV was recognized as a Falcon award recipient, an honorary award for firms that might not have the five-year history or minimum of $1 million in revenue needed to qualify for a Flying 40 Award, but whose strong growth shows high potential for creating jobs in the future. This year though, thanks in large part to some key successful contract captures and the dedication of the family of staff employed by ETV, they were able to move above this threshold and were selected as a full Flying 40 awardee. This distinction puts ETV in hallowed territory with such industry giants as Solaero Technologies, Applied Research Associates, and Speridian Technologies.

“Being able to be recognized and honored with the elite industry leaders in technology and innovation in New Mexico is incredibly valuable to achieving our vision. The opportunity to network with other innovative and high-tech industry aligned companies through the state is a distinction in and of itself, almost as valuable as winning the Flying 40 award. Moving from a Falcon award to a Flying 40 award within the span of one year highlights the great team we have here at ETV and shows that we are on a future growth path that will constantly push our company forward as we continue to serve the state of New Mexico with innovative robotic and autonomous systems products.” Cliff Hudson, ETV CEO.

ETV was featured as a part of the Flying 40 section in the Albuquerque Journal’s Business Outlook, which offers award winners the opportunity to be highlighted to the Journal’s more than a half-million weekly readers. Taken together, this year’s Flying 40 generated $985 million in revenue in 2016, and employed a total of 4,917 people as of December. Additionally, ETV will be featured in the award program on Wednesday and several of their employees will partake in the festivities scheduled for this year.
